Hi, I’m John Esker, Founder and Principal of DixieLee Insurance Solutions.
DixieLee was born from a deeply personal experience — one that forever changed how I view healthcare coverage and the importance of informed choice.
When my mother, Dixie Lee Esker, was diagnosed with cancer in 2014, our family quickly learned how complex and unforgiving the healthcare system can be. Despite our best efforts to support her, we found ourselves facing insurance limitations and confusion at a time when clarity and compassion were needed most.
We realized we didn’t have the decision-making power we thought we had. The coverage we trusted to protect her limited her options, and critical healthcare choices were suddenly out of our hands.
Watching my mother fight with such strength and grace while navigating those barriers changed my life — and revealed how vital the right guidance and coverage truly are.
That experience became the foundation of DixieLee Insurance Solutions.
After more than three decades in the electrical maintenance industry, I knew my next chapter had to be one of service — helping others avoid the confusion and frustration my family once faced.
